The Dyad & Council Group, which will take place online via Zoom, invites participants into present moment-based relational experiences. A dyad is a relational practice which happens between two people, whereas council involves the entire group. This two hour meeting engages both the dyad and council formats. These groups are open to anyone, so no previous experience is necessary, but they will be limited to 7 participants on a first come, first served basis.

The primary invitation with this group is for participants to show up with humility, dignity, and a genuine interest in connecting with others in an authentic way. We aim to leave our assumptions at the door and participate with open curiosity. These groups are an opportunity to express deeper layers of ourselves and to move beyond the more surface oriented relating that is typical in our culture. In other words, there is an invitation toward vulnerability. To be seen and held amidst our vulnerability can be transformative, yielding a deeper insight into one’s self understanding. The Dyad & Council Groups can support our capacities for attentive listening and honest self-expression.

My experience with the gathering was incredibly unexpected and gratifying...I’m not necessarily a seeker of any kind, and am very happy and at peace, but this experience was just so enriching. It added a level of connection and reflection I didn’t know I was missing.

The groups brought me into a mind state very similar to the one I felt on (meditation) retreat: a buzzing, a vibration, a presence, a strong intention, a dedication to myself and others and the betterment of all.

I felt that the gathering made a big difference for me in terms of opening up to strangers. I felt really empowered to share myself in a small group setting. Simply being witnessed was quite amazing, and reminded me of the importance of sharing my voice and experiences.
